TheQuoteGuys is operated by EHUSTLE PTY LTD (ABN: 21 679 259 440), a company registered in Queensland, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What personal information we collect

We collect personal information you provide when you:

  • Submit a quote request form (name, email address, phone number, suburb, postcode, property description)
  • Use our contact form (name, email address, phone number, message content)
  • Interact with our website (device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, collected automatically via server logs and analytics)

We do not collect sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act (such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, or financial information).

2. How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to:

  • Match your job request with up to 3 local Queensland tradies who cover your area and trade type
  • Verify your identity before sharing your details with tradies (via SMS verification code)
  • Respond to contact form enquiries
  • Send you a confirmation of your quote request via email or SMS
  • Notify our admin team of new leads for quality assurance purposes
  • Improve the platform through aggregated, de-identified analytics

We do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising purposes without your explicit consent.

3. Who we share your information with

We share your name, phone number, suburb, postcode, and job description with matched tradies on our platform, for the sole purpose of enabling them to contact you with a quote. These tradies are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use your information for any purpose other than providing you with a quote.

We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and data storage)
  • SMS delivery providers (for verification codes and notifications)
  • Email delivery providers (for confirmation messages)
  • CRM platforms (for managing tradie relationships)

These providers are required to handle your information securely and in accordance with Australian privacy law. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or a court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, tradies, or the public.

4. How long we retain your information

We retain lead and contact form records for up to 2 years from the date of submission, after which they are permanently deleted. You may request deletion earlier; see section 7 below.

5. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our platform uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Lead data stored on our servers is access-controlled and not publicly accessible.

While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyse site traffic, and understand how visitors use the platform. These may include analytics cookies from third-party services. You can control cookie use through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

7. Your rights: access, correction, and deletion

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

8. Complaints

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of our platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
