Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

TheQuoteGuys is operated by EHUSTLE PTY LTD (ABN: 21 679 259 440), a company registered in Queensland, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What personal information we collect

We collect personal information you provide when you:

  • Submit a quote request form (name, email address, phone number, suburb, postcode, property description and, if you choose to provide it, street address)
  • Join an expansion waitlist (first name, email address, selected service, suburb and state or territory)
  • Use our contact form (name, email address, phone number, message content)
  • Interact with our website (device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, collected automatically via server logs and analytics)

We do not ask you to provide sensitive information in a quote request. Please do not put health, financial, identity-document, or other sensitive details in free-text fields.

2. How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to:

  • Offer your job request privately to suitable Queensland providers, up to a maximum of three accepted providers
  • Confirm request details and protect the service from spam, fraud, and misuse
  • Respond to contact form enquiries
  • Send an availability update if you join a state or territory expansion waitlist
  • Send you a confirmation of your quote request via email or SMS
  • Notify our admin team of new leads for quality assurance purposes
  • Improve the platform through aggregated, de-identified analytics

We do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising purposes without your explicit consent.

3. Who we share your information with

We may share the contact and job details needed to provide a quote with a suitable tradie after that tradie accepts your private request. No more than three tradies may accept a request. Tradies receive this information so they can assess the job and contact you about a quote; their own privacy practices may also apply once they contact you.

We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and data storage)
  • SMS delivery providers (for verification codes and notifications)
  • Email delivery providers (for confirmation messages)
  • CRM platforms (for managing tradie relationships)

We select service providers appropriate to their function and limit the information shared with them to what is reasonably needed to operate the platform. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or a court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, tradies, or the public.

4. How long we retain your information

We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention obligations. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You may also ask us to delete information, subject to those obligations; see section 7 below.

5. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our platform uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Lead data stored on our servers is access-controlled and not publicly accessible.

While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyse site traffic, and understand how visitors use the platform. These may include analytics cookies from third-party services. You can control cookie use through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

7. Your rights: access, correction, and deletion

You can contact us to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records)
  • Opt out of receiving marketing communications (where applicable)

To make a request, contact us at ben@ehustle.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches the Privacy Act or the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us at ben@ehustle.com.au. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated “last updated” date. Continued use of our platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
